My Very Personal Connection: The Death of Andrea and Brock Damude
On the morning of Saturday, March 10th 2012, concerned neighbors reported to Durham Regional Police a suspicious looking vehicle, a 2003 white Ford Taurus, abandoned in a Sunderland, Ontario farmers field. The owner of the property was known to be away in Florida, and the surrounding neighbors had agreed to keep an eye on the property for the owner. Upon arrival and inspection of the vehicle, officers were disturbed to find the bodies of a woman and infant child in the trunk of the white sedan. Through information gathered at the scene they were able to determine the bodies were that of Andrea Damude and her 8 month old son, Brock Damude. An immediate cause of death was not readily available and the bodies were sent to Toronto for autopsy and toxicology findings.
